China issued a strong warning today, pledging to take “powerful” countermeasures in response to the US decision to provide advanced defense equipment to the island nation.
The Chinese government has urged the United States to cancel the sale, which involves F-16 Infrared Search and Track (IRST) systems and related equipment at an estimated cost of $500 million.
