Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz has unveiled a Rs 550 million plan to restore Murree’s historic charm. The project focuses on revamping Mall Road and improving tourism infrastructure. Heritage preservation and modern facilities will be key priorities.
The plan includes restoring old buildings, improving cleanliness, and introducing a Glass Train project. A modern hospital and public squares will also be developed. Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb will oversee the project’s execution.
CM Maryam vowed to make Murree a top tourist destination while maintaining its historical appeal. Uniform signboards and heritage-style lighting will enhance the aesthetics. The project aims to be completed within a year.
