RAWALPINDI – On Wednesday, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir visited St. Joseph’s Catholic Cathedral Church in Rawalpindi to join the Christian community in celebrating Christmas. The congregation warmly welcomed the COAS, expressing their gratitude for his presence and unwavering support on this joyous occasion.
During his visit, General Munir extended heartfelt Christmas wishes to Christians across Pakistan. He emphasized that Christmas serves as a powerful reminder of the universal values of compassion, generosity, and goodwill—values that are essential in uniting the country’s diverse society.
The army chief also acknowledged the significant contributions made by minorities, particularly the Christian community, in Pakistan’s social, cultural, economic, and national development. He praised these contributions as a source of pride and strength for the nation.
In a gesture of respect, General Munir also paid tribute to Pakistan’s founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, highlighting his visionary leadership, unwavering resolve, and commitment to the principles of Faith, Unity, and Discipline.
