In Rawalpindi, Pakistan, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Asim Munir, met with Saudi Arabia’s top military leader, General Fayyadh Bin Hamed Al Ruwaili, on Friday. They talked about important things that both countries care about, like working together on defense and security.
A statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that General Ruwaili and his important team talked to COAS General Asim Munir. During their meeting, they discussed things that are important to both countries, like working together on defense and security.
The delegation from Saudi Arabia also met with another important leader in Pakistan, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza. They talked at the Joint Staff Headquarters.
A few days ago, General Munir told Saudi Arabia’s business people that they want to invest a lot of money, $25 billion, in Pakistan. This money is going to be used to help Pakistan’s agriculture and other important things. They are also trying to make it easier for other countries to do business with Pakistan.
Last month, the temporary Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwaarul Haq, said that Saudi Arabia is going to give Pakistan a lot of money, up to $25 billion, over the next few years. They will use this money to help different parts of Pakistan’s economy, like mining, agriculture, and technology. This is part of a plan to get more foreign money to come into Pakistan.
