Constable Haider Ali was laid to rest with full honors after sacrificing his life during a high-risk rescue operation in Jhelum, where he successfully saved more than 400 people stranded due to flash floods.
The heroic constable was part of a team deployed to evacuate residents trapped in floodwaters when he was swept away while assisting others to safety. Despite the danger, he continued his mission until the very end.
His funeral, attended by senior police officials, fellow officers, and grieving locals, was held with full state protocol. A guard of honor was presented, and the national flag draped his coffin as a symbol of national gratitude and pride.
CM Punjab and IG Police praised Constable Haider Ali’s unmatched bravery and announced financial support and a government job for his family in recognition of his ultimate sacrifice.
