The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee convened on Monday to observe the crescent moon of Rajab 1446 AH.
The meeting, chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, was held in various parts of the country to ensure comprehensive moon sighting efforts. Maulana Azad stated that while the sky remained cloudy in most regions, some areas experienced clear conditions, enabling the crescent moon’s sighting.
Following confirmation of the sighting, Maulana Azad announced that the first day of Rajab will fall on Tuesday, January 2, 2025.
Rajab is the seventh month of the Islamic calendar and holds significant spiritual importance for Muslims, as it marks the beginning of the countdown to Ramadan.
