Punjabi sensation Diljit Dosanjh has stood firm behind the casting of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in his upcoming film Sardaar Ji 3, after facing online backlash. Critics questioned the choice due to ongoing political tensions, but Dosanjh called it a “creative decision” based purely on talent.

“Cinema has no borders,” he said in a recent Instagram Live. “Hania brings something special to the role — that’s why she’s in the film.”

The actor-producer urged fans to focus on the story, not the nationality of its stars. Despite the controversy, Sardaar Ji 3’s trailer has been met with excitement, signaling another hit for the beloved fantasy-comedy franchise.

The film releases August 15, 2025.
