Washington, D.C.: Former U.S. President Donald Trump has reportedly been nominated for the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize, marking another attempt to secure the prestigious award. The nomination was made by Republican Representative Darrell Issa, who announced on social media platform X, stating, “Today I will nominate @realDonaldTrump for the Nobel Peace Prize. No one deserves it more.”
While Issa did not specify the exact reason for the nomination, Trump has recently been vocal about his efforts to resolve major global conflicts, particularly in Ukraine and Gaza. Reports suggest that Trump sees the Nobel Peace Prize as a significant recognition of his role in diplomacy.
This is not the first time Trump has been considered for the award. He was previously nominated for his involvement in the Abraham Accords, which facilitated peace agreements between Israel and several Arab nations.
According to reports, over 300 candidates have been nominated for the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize. While the Nobel Committee keeps the official list of nominees confidential, those who submit nominations can choose to make them public.
The recipient of the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize will be officially announced in October.
