ZHOB: A moderate earthquake jolted Zhob and its surrounding areas in Balochistan on Friday, triggering panic among residents.
According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre, the tremor had a magnitude of 4.8 on the Richter scale and struck at a depth of 20 kilometers. The epicenter was reported to be in the Hindu Kush region, a seismically active zone.
No immediate reports of casualties or damage have emerged. However, residents rushed out of their homes and offices as the tremors were felt. Authorities have urged people to stay cautious and follow safety protocols in case of aftershocks.
