An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale struck various parts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces on Tuesday. The tremors were felt across several cities, including Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Malakand, Multan, Chiniot, Lakki Marwat, Swat, Chitral, Mianwali, Kasur, Okara, Faisalabad, and other regions.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported that the earthquake’s epicenter was located 31 kilometers west of Karor in Layyah district of Punjab. The quake originated at a depth of 10 kilometers.
As of now, there are no immediate reports of casualties or property damage. Authorities are currently assessing the situation and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
