Islamabad – Eid ul Adha 2025 is expected to be celebrated in Pakistan on Saturday, June 7, according to early predictions by Islamic scholars and astronomical experts. The forecast is based on the likely sighting of the Zilhajj moon on May 28, which would mark May 29 as the first day of the Islamic month of Zilhajj.
If confirmed, the 10th day of Zilhajj — the day of Eid ul Adha — will fall on June 7, 2025. However, the final date will be officially announced by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee closer to the time, following the traditional moon sighting method.
Eid ul Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is one of the most important Islamic holidays. It commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah’s command. The day is marked by special prayers, sermons, and the ritual sacrifice of animals such as goats, cows, and camels.
