Saima Jogezai, daughter of former Quetta commissioner Iftikhar Jogezai, allegedly assaulted a female air hostess onboard Serene Air flight 540 from Quetta to Islamabad after being asked to fasten her seatbelt.
The incident occurred when the cabin crew instructed passengers to comply with safety protocols and halt meal service. Saima, who had reportedly misbehaved with staff during check-in, became enraged when an air hostess approached her. Witnesses claim she used foul language and created a scene, prompting the flight crew to escalate the matter to the captain.
Following standard protocol, the pilot contacted air traffic control and returned the aircraft to the runway. Upon landing, Airport Security Force (ASF) personnel boarded the plane and requested Saima and her father to disembark. However, she refused and, in a fit of rage, allegedly punched the air hostess, causing her nose to bleed.
ASF detained both individuals as authorities assessed the situation. Reports indicate that ASF was later directed to resolve the matter, leading to the father and daughter submitting a written apology. Following this, they were allowed to leave.
The incident has sparked discussions on passenger behavior and in-flight security, with many calling for stricter actions against unruly passengers.
