In a move to honor the sacred occasion of Eidul Azha, the federal government has announced a three-day holiday, commencing from Monday, June 17, and concluding on Wednesday, June 19.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif endorsed the decision after approving a summary submitted by the cabinet division, marking June 17 as the official commencement of the Eid holiday.
Eidul Azha holds immense significance in Islam, signifying sacrifice and purification of deeds and wealth. It is observed with devout reverence by Muslims worldwide, symbolizing obedience and submission to the Divine will.
Traditionally, holidays are extended for the first two days of Hajj, falling on Saturday and Sunday this year, aligning with the spirit of unity and spiritual rejuvenation.
This gesture by the government allows citizens to partake in religious rituals, fostering harmony and solidarity among communities during this auspicious time.
