Federal Govt Approves Hajj Policy for 2025, Here’re Details
The federal government has unveiled the Hajj Policy for 2025, approved by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, aimed at enhancing support for pilgrims. Pakistan’s quota is set at 179,210, divided equally between government and private programs. Children under 12 are not allowed this year.
A computerized ballot system will select government scheme pilgrims, with special provisions for hardship cases and low-income workers. The ‘Road to Makkah’ initiative will simplify travel procedures, while newly appointed “Nazims” will oversee logistics for every 100 pilgrims.
Additionally, compensation for deceased or injured pilgrims has increased, and a Hajj management app will provide essential resources.
