The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Tuesday successfully arrested six fugitives from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), all wanted in Pakistan for serious crimes, including terrorism, murder, attempted murder, robbery, and fraud.
A spokesperson for the FIA confirmed that the arrests were made through major operations conducted by the agency’s National Central Bureau (NCB) Interpol.

Extradition and FIA’s Global Crackdown
The FIA confirmed that Interpol’s red notices were issued to facilitate the arrests, ensuring the fugitives were located and apprehended in the UAE. The individuals are being extradited to Lahore Airport, where they will be handed over to Punjab police for further legal proceedings.
FIA officials emphasized that these arrests were made possible through close coordination between Interpol Islamabad and Interpol Abu Dhabi. They reiterated that NCB Interpol operates round-the-clock with modern technology to track and capture fugitives worldwide.
Ongoing Efforts to Bring Criminals to Justice
The FIA reaffirmed its commitment to apprehending criminals evading the law, stating that all available resources are being utilized for this purpose.
Notably, in April 2023, Punjab police had similarly arrested 10 proclaimed offenders from Gulf states and other countries in connection with cases registered at various police stations across the province.
This latest operation signals Pakistan’s intensified crackdown on international fugitives, ensuring that criminals find no safe haven abroad.
