The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Counter-Terrorism Wing has conducted an extensive interrogation of former Prime Minister Imran Khan in relation to the “missing” cypher case. The questioning, which lasted for approximately an hour, took place at the Attock Jail, where Imran Khan was grilled by the FIA team.
Highly-placed sources reveal that the interrogation, carried out under the umbrella of the Official Secrets Act, revolved around crucial aspects of the case. The FIA’s interest was primarily directed towards Imran Khan’s knowledge and involvement in the matter, as well as his response to the revelations made by former Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
The FIA’s Counter-Terrorism Wing arrived at the Attock Jail around 2:15pm, initiating the rigorous session with Imran Khan. The former premier was subjected to intense questioning until around 3:30pm, after which the FIA team concluded the session and returned to Islamabad.
This development follows the filing of an FIR against Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi on August 15, invoking the Official Secrets Act and other pertinent legal statutes. The missing cypher case has sparked concerns about national security and potential breaches, elevating its significance on both national and international fronts.
The investigation’s latest focus on Imran Khan, a former head of state, underscores the meticulous nature of the ongoing probe and its commitment to uncovering the truth behind the disappeared cypher copy. As the inquiry progresses, the public and authorities alike await further updates on the investigation’s findings and potential implications.
