SARGODHA — In a landmark development, Sargodha is set to open Pakistan’s first-ever women-only mosque, offering a dedicated place for women to pray, learn, and participate in community programs.
The initiative, led by a local women’s welfare organization, seeks to promote inclusivity and provide a comfortable environment where women can practice their faith freely. The mosque will also host Quran classes, religious discussions, and social awareness sessions tailored specifically for women.
Organizers said the project reflects a growing recognition of women’s role in religious and social spaces, adding that the design and operations of the mosque have been planned entirely by women.
The mosque is expected to open its doors to the public later this month, marking a significant step toward empowering women in religious life across Pakistan.
