The first group of Pakistani pilgrims is scheduled to depart for Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj on Monday, April 29, 2025, under the government Hajj scheme.
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, special flight operations will officially commence from various cities, including Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, and Quetta. The pilgrims traveling in this first batch have completed all preparations, including biometric verification, training sessions, and vaccination requirements.
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Aneeq Ahmed is expected to see off the pilgrims at Islamabad International Airport, where a special ceremony has been arranged to offer prayers for their safe journey and successful pilgrimage.
This year, over 70,000 Pakistanis are expected to perform Hajj under the government and private schemes. The Ministry has assured that pilgrims will be provided with improved facilities, including better accommodation, transportation, and medical services in Makkah and Madinah.
The Hajj flight operations will continue until June 9, with return flights scheduled to begin after Eid-ul-Adha.
Officials have urged pilgrims to strictly adhere to the guidelines issued for their safety and smooth travel experience.
