As Ramadan 2025 approaches, the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) has announced the official rates for Fitrana (Sadqa-e-Fitr) and Fidya. The minimum Fitrana amount per person is set at Rs220, based on wheat prices. However, those wishing to give more can opt for:
- Barley: Rs450
- Dates: Rs1,650
- Raisins: Rs2,500
- Dried Grapes (Munakka): Rs5,000
For individuals unable to fast, the Fidya (compensation for missed fasts) for 30 days is:
- Wheat: Rs6,600
- Barley: Rs13,500
- Dates: Rs49,500
- Raisins: Rs75,000
- Dried Grapes: Rs150,000
Islamic scholars recommend fulfilling Fitrana before Eid ul Fitr to ensure the needy can celebrate with dignity. Wealthier individuals are encouraged to give according to their means.
