In a significant breakthrough in the Mustafa Amir kidnapping and murder case, law enforcement authorities have arrested four individuals, including the son of renowned television actor Sajid Hassan.
According to sources, the investigative team carried out operations in various areas of Defence, resulting in the arrests. Police officials stated that the detained individuals were allegedly involved in drug possession, usage, and distribution.
Senior police officers confirmed that drugs were recovered from the possession of Sajid Hassan’s son, and the suspects are also being questioned regarding their possible connection to Mustafa Amir and Armaghan, both key figures in the case. The families of the accused have been informed of their arrests.
Murder Suspects Reveal Crime Details
Meanwhile, police have made further progress in the case, with suspects Armughan and Shiraz—accused of brutally murdering 23-year-old Mustafa Amir—leading investigators to the location in Dureji where they allegedly burned the victim to death.
The Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) took the suspects to the crime scene, which they had previously identified during interrogation. According to reports, the accused recounted their movements, revealing that they traveled via Humdard University Road, entered Hub through Sakrand, and proceeded to Dureji. Upon reaching a river, they stopped the car and set it on fire with Mustafa Amir inside.
Shocking details also emerged as the suspects disclosed that after committing the heinous act, they went to a hotel for dinner before resuming their routine activities. Later, police arranged for the suspects to meet Mustafa Amir’s grieving family.
Court Extends Suspects’ Remand
On Saturday, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) extended the physical remand of Armughan and Shiraz, the primary suspects in the case. The duo was presented before the court, where the prosecutor sought a two-week remand. However, the judge approved a five-day extension instead.
During the proceedings, Armughan collapsed in the courtroom. When asked if he wished to say something, he broke down in tears, prompting an emotional reaction from his father as well.
The case continues to unfold as authorities investigate all possible links and motives behind the gruesome murder of Mustafa Amir.
