The Global Sumud Flotilla, carrying humanitarian aid and international activists in solidarity with Palestinians, has been intercepted by Israeli forces near the Gaza coast. Organizers confirmed that the flotilla, which set sail to break the blockade and deliver essential supplies, was stopped before reaching its destination.
Eyewitness accounts suggest that the ships were surrounded and communication with the crew has since been disrupted. Human rights groups are calling for the immediate release of those onboard and for the safe delivery of aid to Gaza’s civilians.
