KARACHI – 14 October 2025:
Gold prices in Pakistan surged to a record high of Rs 435,000 per tola on Monday, reflecting global market volatility and continued pressure on the Pakistani rupee.
According to data released by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association (APGJA), the price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs 4,500 per tola compared to the previous session, setting a new all-time high.
Market analysts attribute the sharp rise to increased global demand for safe-haven assets amid geopolitical tensions and economic uncertainty, as well as the weakening of the Pakistani rupee against the U.S. dollar.
Traders expect gold prices to remain volatile in the coming days, with many predicting further increases if the rupee continues to slide or global markets stay unstable.
