ISLAMABAD – 21 October 2025:
There’s good news for Muslims planning to perform Hajj in 2026, as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced several new initiatives aimed at making the pilgrimage more affordable and convenient for international pilgrims, including those from Pakistan.
According to official reports, Hajj package costs are expected to decrease due to streamlined visa procedures, expanded accommodation facilities in Makkah and Madinah, and enhanced digital services for pilgrims.
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah confirmed that new electronic systems will simplify registration and travel arrangements, while additional transport routes and upgraded crowd management measures will improve the overall experience.
“Our goal is to make Hajj more accessible, safe, and spiritually fulfilling for every pilgrim,”
said a ministry spokesperson.
In Pakistan, the Ministry of Religious Affairs is also preparing to launch its 2026 Hajj policy, expected to include flexible payment plans and transparent digital lotteries for applicant selection.
The announcement has been warmly welcomed by prospective pilgrims, who view it as a sign of improved cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in religious affairs.
