In a welcome development for investors and buyers, the price of gold in Pakistan dropped by Rs 3,000 per tola on Wednesday. According to local bullion markets, the new rate for 24-karat gold stands at Rs 242,000 per tola, compared to the previous rate of Rs 245,000.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold also saw a decline of Rs 2,572, bringing the new price to Rs 207,476.
Market analysts attribute the fall to a decrease in international gold rates and the strengthening of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar. The international gold price is currently hovering around $2,400 per ounce.
Gold traders expect further fluctuations in the coming days depending on global economic trends and currency exchange movements.
