Google has announced a major update for its Gemini Live service, making it available to all users at no cost. This expansion marks a significant shift from its previous status as a premium feature reserved for Advanced subscribers.
Gemini Live, which enables real-time, interactive AI conversations with the ability to interrupt or redirect dialogue, will soon be accessible to everyone through the Google Play Store on Android devices. This move aims to democratize access to advanced AI technology, allowing a broader audience to engage with interactive conversations more easily.
Currently, Gemini Live supports English, but Google has indicated that additional languages will be introduced in the near future to cater to a global user base.
While the service does not integrate with other Google products such as Gmail or YouTube Music at this time, it offers the benefit of full chat transcriptions, allowing users to review their interactions in detail.
This rollout reflects Google’s ongoing efforts to enhance user engagement with AI and expand the reach of its technological innovations.
