KARACHI: In a groundbreaking move to empower the youth and boost digital literacy, Governor Sindh has announced a program offering free IT courses to 500,000 young individuals across the province.
The initiative aims to bridge the digital divide and equip the younger generation with essential technical skills to meet the demands of the evolving job market. The courses, which will cover areas such as programming, data analytics, web development, and cybersecurity, are set to be offered in collaboration with leading IT institutions and tech companies.
Speaking at the launch event, Governor Sindh emphasized the importance of fostering a tech-savvy workforce. “This program is a step toward ensuring that our youth are not left behind in the digital revolution. By providing free IT education, we aim to open doors to countless opportunities for them in the global digital economy,” he stated.
The registration process for the courses will begin next week, and interested candidates can apply through an online portal. The program is expected to start in the first quarter of 2025, with training centers set up in multiple cities, including Karachi, Hyderabad, and Sukkur.
