The federal government has requested NEPRA to reduce electricity prices by Rs1.15 per unit starting July 1, 2025. The proposed cut aims to provide relief to all consumer categories, including domestic, commercial, industrial, and agricultural users. Lifeline users consuming up to 100 units will see no change. NEPRA will hold a public hearing on the proposal, and if approved, the revised rates will be reflected in electricity bills from July.
