Karachi, Pakistan — The weather forecast predicts heavy rain in several regions, including Karachi and nearby coastal areas like Umerkot, Tharparkar, and Mirpurkhas. Rain is also expected in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Balochistan.
In Sindh, it will be hot and very humid, with rain and thunderstorms likely in cities like Mithi, Sanghar, Umarkot, Tharparkar, Mirpur Khas, Sukkur, Larkana, and Dadu on July 23rd and 24th.
More rain is expected in Karachi starting from July 27th, following recent showers that briefly relieved the city’s heat. However, some areas experienced power outages, including Korangi, Kati Pahari, Nazimabad, Liaquatabad, FC Area, and Kharadar.
Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab inspected different areas to check how the city is managing the rain. The rain brought different levels of showers across Karachi, from light in some areas like Shahrah-e-Faisal, Sarjani Town, and F.B. Area, to heavier rain in places like Landhi, Korangi, Shah Faisal, Malir, Airport, Sohrab Goth, Safoora Chowrangi, Gulshan Iqbal, University Road, and Gulshan-e-Johar, and nearby places.
People in Karachi should be prepared for more rain in the coming days, and should keep an eye on weather updates as conditions can change quickly.
