KARACHI – Heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning lashed Karachi once again on Tuesday, bringing much-needed relief from the scorching heat but also causing severe disruptions across the city. Several main roads were submerged due to waterlogging, while traffic jams paralyzed key routes.
Power outages were reported in multiple areas as feeders tripped during the thunderstorm, leaving thousands without electricity for hours. Citizens expressed frustration over the lack of drainage and preparedness, with many neighborhoods facing flash flooding.
Authorities have urged residents to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary travel, as more rain and thunderstorms are expected in the coming hours according to the Meteorological Department.
