Islamabad, October 9, 2025 — The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has announced a new opportunity for Pakistani students to pursue fully funded PhD programs at top universities in the United States under the US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor initiative.
According to the official announcement, the scholarships will cover tuition fees, living expenses, health insurance, and travel costs, enabling talented Pakistani scholars to pursue advanced research in various fields including science, technology, engineering, social sciences, and humanities.
The program aims to strengthen academic and research collaboration between Pakistan and the United States while enhancing Pakistan’s human resource capacity in critical sectors.
An HEC spokesperson stated, “This initiative reflects our commitment to developing a highly skilled workforce and providing opportunities for Pakistani students to gain world-class education and contribute to national development upon their return.”
Interested candidates can apply through the HEC’s official scholarship portal. The selection process will be merit-based, with a focus on academic excellence, research potential, and alignment with Pakistan’s development priorities.
The US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor is part of an ongoing partnership between the Government of Pakistan and the United States, with the long-term goal of sending thousands of Pakistani scholars to leading U.S. universities for doctoral studies.
