For the short-duration Hajj package, the cost has been set at Rs1.1 million per person.
This year, a major upgrade has been announced for pilgrims in Mina, where air conditioning will replace the previously used cooler setups. In addition, accommodations will feature more modern amenities, including gypsum board tents instead of traditional cloth tents, and sofa beds replacing mattresses. Shelf facilities will also be provided to enhance the comfort of pilgrims.
Hotel costs have seen a reduction following agreements made in Saudi Arabia, with the additional charges for double beds now reduced by Rs74,000, bringing the cost down from Rs259,000 to Rs185,000. Similarly, charges for triple beds have been reduced from Rs86,500 to Rs63,000.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs is expected to announce the final breakdown of the Hajj expenses soon.
