India is reportedly in advanced discussions with Israel to acquire the LORA (Long-Range Artillery) missile system, a precision-guided weapon capable of striking targets up to 400 kilometers away. Defense sources suggest the potential deal aims to strengthen India’s strategic deterrence and long-range strike capabilities.
The LORA system, developed by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), has been used in multiple international defense programs and is known for its high accuracy and rapid deployment features.
Experts believe the acquisition, if finalized, will further deepen defense cooperation between New Delhi and Tel Aviv, which has grown steadily over the past decade through joint ventures, technology transfers, and intelligence collaboration.
Neither the Indian Ministry of Defence nor Israeli officials have issued an official confirmation yet.
