Indian comedian and Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui has embarked on a spiritual journey, performing Umrah in Mecca alongside his wife, Mehzabeen Coatwala, during the holy month of Ramadan.
Taking to Instagram, Munawar shared serene images from Masjid al-Haram, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to visit the sacred site. In his heartfelt post, he wrote:
“Duniya ki sabse khubsurat jagah Makkah. Allah sabko yahan bulaye. Aur dua aap sabke liye ki hai maine. Mujhe bhi apni duaon mein yaad rakhna.”
(Makkah, the most beautiful place in the world. May Allah invite everyone here. I have prayed for all of you; remember me in your prayers too.)
His pilgrimage has been met with an outpouring of support from fans and fellow celebrities, with many sending best wishes and prayers for his spiritual journey. However, some social media users initially mistook Mehzabeen for his girlfriend, leading to clarifications that she is, in fact, his wife.
In a recent interaction, Munawar reflected on his life’s transformation post-marriage. He shared how, during last year’s Ramadan, he prayed for stability and a life partner, and now feels blessed to have found someone who completes him.
Munawar’s Umrah journey comes just weeks after his wedding, which was a private affair. The comedian also recently revealed that he had faced health challenges before his marriage, having been hospitalized due to intestinal issues, but remained determined to move forward with his new life chapter.
On the professional front, Munawar is preparing for his acting debut in the upcoming series “First Copy” and has also participated in the ECL celebrity cricket league.
His spiritual journey has resonated deeply with fans, with many praising his devotion and sharing their own prayers for his success and happiness.
