Srinagar, IIOJK – February 10, 2025: Indian police in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) have reportedly seized Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) flags and balloons that drifted into the region from across the border.
According to local sources, the objects were found in different areas near the Line of Control (LoC) after they were carried by the wind from Pakistan-administered Kashmir. Authorities immediately confiscated the flags and balloons, citing security concerns.
Officials claimed that such incidents are being monitored closely, as they believe the objects could be part of a psychological influence strategy. However, analysts suggest that the movement of balloons and flags is a natural occurrence due to geographical proximity and wind patterns.
This incident comes at a time of heightened tensions between India and Pakistan, with both nations regularly accusing each other of interference. Meanwhile, local Kashmiri residents continue to express frustration over heavy-handed security measures in the region.
The seizure of PTI-related materials has sparked debate on social media, with many questioning the necessity of such actions. Pakistani social media users, in particular, have mocked the development, calling it an overreaction by Indian authorities.
While no official statement has been issued by PTI, the party’s supporters in Pakistan have dismissed the incident as insignificant, emphasizing their focus on internal political matters.
