ISLAMABAD — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday said that Indian-sponsored terrorists were behind the recent suicide attack in Islamabad that claimed several lives and left many injured.
Speaking to reporters, the premier condemned the incident, calling it an act of “state-sponsored terrorism” aimed at destabilizing Pakistan. He vowed that those responsible, along with their facilitators, would be brought to justice.
The explosion occurred outside the Islamabad district court during busy hours, causing panic in the area. Rescue teams and security officials rushed to the scene, cordoning off the area and shifting the injured to nearby hospitals.
Authorities have launched an investigation, while security has been tightened across the capital. The attack has drawn widespread condemnation from political leaders and the public alike.
