The Chairman of the Inter Board has made a formal request to the Education Minister, advocating for a four-day postponement of the Intermediate examinations in Karachi.
Naseem Memon, Chairman of the Intermediate Board, has emphasized that conducting the Intermediate exams from May 28th is unfeasible, proposing a revised start date of June 1st.
This development comes in the wake of the recent postponement of Matric exams due to soaring temperatures.
Memon disclosed plans to utilize 21 higher secondary schools as examination centers for the Inter exams, with a strategy to hold morning Inter exams and evening Matric exams at these designated centers.
However, logistical constraints have necessitated the rescheduling of Matric papers, previously deferred, to commence on May 28th at the same 21 centers. Concurrent operation of both Boards’ exams at these venues is deemed impractical.
In response to the escalating situation, Memon has announced a crucial meeting today involving key stakeholders such as the Education Minister, Boards, and Universities. The Matric Board Chairman will also attend this summit, aimed at brainstorming viable solutions to the prevailing examination scheduling dilemma.
Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
