The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on Thursday assured the public that internet services will remain fully operational across the country, dismissing concerns over any potential disruption.
In an official statement, the PTA said there are no instructions or plans to suspend mobile data or broadband services, and all telecom networks are functioning normally nationwide. The authority urged users to rely on verified information and avoid spreading rumors related to internet shutdowns.
“Internet and telecom services are running smoothly across Pakistan,” the PTA spokesperson said, adding that the authority is in close coordination with telecom operators to ensure uninterrupted connectivity.
The clarification comes amid increased public speculation on social media regarding possible internet slowdowns or service suspensions. PTA emphasized that maintaining reliable communication services remains a top priority, particularly for businesses, students, and essential services.
The authority also advised citizens to follow official PTA channels for accurate updates and announcements.
