The Islamabad Capital Territory administration has announced a ban on toy horns, starting immediately and lasting for ten days, as the city prepares for Independence Day. The ban is meant to prevent noise and keep traffic flowing smoothly.
The notification, issued by Additional District Magistrate Usman Ashraf, says that toy horns are causing disruptions and public nuisance. Local vendors selling these items at stalls are also affected by the ban.
Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz has asked people not to use toy horns and has instructed vendors to stop selling them. He also directed officials to confiscate any toy horns being sold.
“Using or selling a toy horn can lead to legal trouble,” Nawaz warned.
This action follows similar measures in other cities in previous years. As Pakistan gets ready to celebrate its 77th Independence Day on Wednesday, the ban aims to ensure a peaceful and orderly celebration.
