Islamabad is in the grip of freezing temperatures, with the mercury dropping to -1°C. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted cold and dry weather throughout the week, advising residents to brace for very cold conditions and frost during the morning hours.
While Tuesday is expected to bring sunny skies, Wednesday and Thursday will remain cold and partly cloudy, with temperatures hovering between -1°C and 1°C.
The cold wave has gripped the entire country, with hilly regions such as Leh and Skardu enduring severe freezing conditions, recording temperatures of -13°C and -5°C, respectively. Meanwhile, fog is disrupting visibility in parts of southern and upper Punjab as well as Sindh, impacting daily life and transportation.
Residents are urged to take necessary precautions to stay warm and avoid prolonged exposure to the cold.
