Islamabad, Pakistan’s picturesque capital, is set to elevate its tourism experience with the introduction of double-decker sightseeing buses in 2025. The initiative, led by the Capital Development Authority (CDA), aims to showcase the city’s natural beauty, cultural heritage, and architectural landmarks to both local and international visitors.
The buses will operate on designated routes, covering iconic destinations such as Faisal Mosque, Daman-e-Koh, Pakistan Monument, Rawal Lake, and Lok Virsa Museum. Equipped with open-air decks, the buses promise a panoramic view of the city’s lush greenery and scenic vistas.
A CDA official revealed that the service is designed to cater to families, students, and tourists, offering a comfortable and affordable way to explore the city. The buses will also feature guided tours in multiple languages to ensure accessibility for foreign visitors.
This project is part of Islamabad’s broader efforts to boost tourism and create memorable experiences for visitors. Construction of dedicated stops and ticketing facilities is already underway, with operations expected to commence in mid-2025.
Tourism enthusiasts and residents alike have welcomed the announcement, anticipating a fresh way to experience the capital’s charm.
