Israeli planes attacked areas in Lebanon and Syria on Wednesday, and four people died as a result.
In south Lebanon, one of the airstrikes hit a village called Majdal Zoun, about 6 kilometers from the border with Israel. A woman and a child were killed there. This happened after Hezbollah, a group in Lebanon, promised to respond to Israel for harming civilians in the conflict between the two countries.

The Israeli military also said they attacked a building in a village called Yaroun in southern Lebanon. They launched air raids on three other places belonging to Hezbollah in the south as well. However, they didn’t mention Majdal Zoun specifically.
In Syria, the Israeli airstrike hit a building where people lived in the Kafr Sousa district of the capital city, Damascus. Two people died, and some others were hurt. The Syrian government said these were civilians. Pictures from the Syrian media showed a damaged building. However, a source said the attack didn’t accomplish what it was supposed to do.
Kafr Sousa has homes, schools, and centers related to Iran. It’s close to a big, well-protected area used by security agencies.
