James Vince has criticized the England and Wales Cricket Board’s (ECB) no-objection certificate (NOC) policy, which restricts players from participating in leagues like the Pakistan Super League (PSL) during the English summer, while granting exemptions for the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Vince described this as a “double standard,” pointing out that the PSL clashes less with domestic cricket than the IPL.
He speculated the policy might be influenced by relationships with the BCCI.
Vince also noted the growing trend of players prioritizing financially rewarding franchise leagues over traditional formats, further questioning the ECB’s approach.
