A female journalist in London, Safina Khan, has come under fire for her ‘rude’ behavior toward Pakistani cricketer Saim Ayub after a fundraiser event for Abrar-ul-Haq’s philanthropic foundation.
Khan shared a video on Instagram capturing her brief interaction with the young left-handed batter, in which she asked about his recovery from injury and his expected return to Pakistan. However, as someone in the background urged her to let Saim leave, she casually dismissed the request, saying, “Kuch nahi hogaya agar aik minute hum baat karlengey to, kuch nahi ghis jayega” [It’s not a big deal if we chat for a minute; it’s not going to wear anything out].
Despite the exchange, Saim remained composed, smiling before leaving without responding.
The video quickly sparked mixed reactions online. While many criticized the journalist for her informal and seemingly dismissive tone, others praised Saim Ayub for his humility and calm demeanor.
Some fans even took the opportunity to highlight Saim’s signature “no-look” style, appreciating how he remains grounded without giving unnecessary attention to such encounters.
The incident has fueled debate over journalistic etiquette and the boundaries of media interactions with public figures.
