The people of Karachi can finally expect a break from the sweltering heat as sea breezes have resumed, according to the Meteorological Department. This shift in weather patterns is set to bring relief from the recent heatwave and mark the end of dry conditions.
Despite clear skies, humidity levels remain high. Over the past 24 hours, Karachi recorded a maximum temperature of 39.5°C, while today’s temperatures are expected to range between 34°C and 36°C, with minimum temperatures between 19°C and 21°C. As of now, the temperature stands at 21°C.
Winds are currently blowing from the west at 6 km/h, and the humidity level is at 88%.
On the air quality front, Karachi is seeing some improvement. The Air Quality Index (AQI) reports a particulate matter concentration of 79, ranking Karachi 44th among the most polluted cities globally.
The Meteorological Department anticipates that the return of sea breezes will help create a more comfortable atmosphere in the city, providing much-needed relief to its residents.
