The metropolis is expected to experience partly cloudy skies today, with temperatures ranging between 21°C and 32°C, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). Light winds from the Arabian Sea are likely to provide some respite from the otherwise warm and humid conditions.
The PMD has also indicated a slight chance of drizzle in coastal areas during the evening hours, but no significant rainfall is predicted for the coming week.
In terms of air quality, Karachi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) remains a concern. The AQI recorded today stands at 165, categorized as “unhealthy.” Individuals with respiratory issues, children, and the elderly are advised to take precautions and avoid outdoor activities, particularly during peak traffic hours.
Authorities continue to urge citizens to use public transportation, reduce the use of private vehicles, and adopt environmentally friendly practices to help improve the city’s air quality.
