Pakistan’s Kishmala Talat has earned a coveted spot in the upcoming Paris Olympics after clinching the silver medal in the women’s 10-meter air pistol event at the Asian Shooting Championship held in Jakarta.
Talat showcased her prowess by notching an impressive score of 575 points in the initial round, securing her place in the final. The Asian Games bronze medalist then went on to engage in a thrilling battle in the final, where she faced tough competition from India’s Ayesha Singh for the gold medal.
Despite a fierce contest, Kishmala Talat secured the silver medal, marking a historic moment for Pakistan in shooting sports. The Secretary of the Pakistan Shooting Federation, Razi Ahmad Khan, officially confirmed that Kishmala’s outstanding performance had earned her an Olympics quota place for the Paris Olympics 2024.
