In a significant development for Pakistan’s construction sector, a leading South Korean company has officially inaugurated its state-of-the-art Good Bricks manufacturing facility in Pakistan.
The inauguration ceremony, held in Lahore’s industrial zone, was attended by top executives from the Korean company, senior Pakistani government officials, and industry leaders. This marks the first time a Korean firm has directly invested in brick manufacturing in the country.
The Good Bricks factory is set to produce eco-friendly and durable bricks using advanced Korean technology. According to the company, the bricks are designed to meet international standards while also being affordable for local markets.
“This investment reflects our long-term commitment to Pakistan’s growth. We are not just bringing business — we are bringing innovation, jobs, and sustainable practices,” said Mr. Park Ji-Hoon, the company’s regional director.
The factory is expected to generate over 500 direct jobs and support thousands more in the supply and construction sectors. With an emphasis on green building materials, the facility will also contribute to reducing Pakistan’s carbon footprint.
Government representatives praised the move, calling it a “game-changer” for local infrastructure development. Experts say this could be the beginning of a new wave of foreign direct investment in Pakistan’s building and construction industry.
