PESHAWAR — Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister has ordered the immediate return of faulty bulletproof vehicles to the federal government, following reports of mechanical and safety defects in several units provided to the province.
The CM expressed serious concerns over the poor quality and performance of the vehicles, stating that such equipment posed potential risks rather than offering protection.
“We cannot compromise on the safety of our officials or waste public money on substandard vehicles,” the Chief Minister said during a high-level review meeting.
Officials from the provincial home and transport departments have been instructed to prepare a detailed report on the issue and ensure that all defective vehicles are returned promptly.
The move underscores the KP government’s stance on transparency, accountability, and effective resource utilization in public departments.
