The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather advisory for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), forecasting dry and cold conditions in the region over the coming days.
The department noted that temperatures are expected to drop significantly, particularly in the northern and higher altitude areas, urging residents to prepare for chilly weather. Areas like Abbottabad, Swat, and Chitral are likely to experience sub-zero temperatures at night, while Peshawar and surrounding plains will see a gradual decrease in daytime temperatures.
Health authorities have advised precautions against seasonal ailments such as colds and flu, which tend to rise in dry and cold weather. The PMD has also cautioned farmers to take measures to protect crops from potential frost damage.
The weather is expected to remain stable, with no significant precipitation predicted in the coming week.
