Lahore, April 4, 2025 – In light of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches being held in Lahore, the city’s district administration has announced a revision to school timings. The decision comes as a response to the expected traffic congestion around stadiums, ensuring students can travel safely and on time.
Starting from April 5, 2025, schools across the city will adjust their operating hours to avoid peak traffic times. School days will now begin earlier, with the majority of institutions starting classes at 7:30 AM and concluding by 1:30 PM. The revised timings aim to ease traffic flow and reduce potential delays for students during the high-traffic periods coinciding with PSL match schedules.
Officials stated that the measure is designed to provide students a safer route home while also ensuring minimal disruption to their academic schedules. The revised timings will remain in effect for the duration of the PSL matches.
With the city hosting several thrilling PSL fixtures, the decision has been welcomed by parents, teachers, and local authorities, who agree that the change is a step towards maintaining public safety and smooth traffic management during this high-profile event.
The local traffic police have also pledged additional efforts to ensure the smooth flow of traffic, particularly around the stadiums, as the city gears up to support the thrilling cricket tournament.
